Goodbye Warriors Season

Curry couldn't believe that Monta "allegedly" sexted a Dubs Employee
First, Monta is getting sued for sexting while married. And then Steph injures his surgically repaired right ankle.

What's the spread for the Christmas Night game hosting Lob City? I'll take the Clippers.

Blake Griffin Scores 47 on MLK Day vs. The Pacers 1/17/11

I just watched an ESPN highlight where they showed 3 of Blakes 19 Field Goal makes. The anchor talked all over himself saying such interesting things as "and he hustles after his own rebound and gets it and lays it in!" followed by Tim Legler saying something lame about Griffin being a future All Star. Such insight.

In the same amount of time you wasted with ESPN you could watch this video below which highlights all 19 of Griffin's Field Goal makes leading to 47 points (the most this season so far) on 24 shots. Yes, you read that correctly: 47 POINTS ON 24 SHOTS. We are in the midst of greatness, people.

Blake Griffin Lamar Odom Fight

Blake Griffin and his Clippers have been on quite a tear recently. The Clippers have won 5 of 6 including victories over the Nuggets, the mighty Heat (who were LeBron-less), and the Lakers.  They only struggled with the amazing Warriors on Friday 1/14 because the Warriors are just that damn good (winning 8 of the last 13, y'all).

Because Blake Griffin dunks with so much FANtastic Amazing Great Time Out-ness, teams apparently have started to try and get in the Rookie's head. Here's Lamar ODumb getting angry that Blake was playing too hard:

Was the 99 to 92 Clipper victory over the Lakers yesterday (1/16) a Los Angelian changing of the guard?  Is this a microcosim of the eventual Laker Dynasty downfall and the rising of a new powerhouse (in spite of Coach VDN and Owner Sterling) known as The Blake Griffins featuring Eric Gordon?  At least Baron Davis has pledged to protect Blake's back as evident in this story.

Blake went out today (1/17) and dropped 47 points with 14 boards on the Pacers for a 7 point victory.  It looks like Superhero Blake wasn't at all scared by the Laker bullcrap from the night before and actually used it as fuel for continued domination.

Kareem Rush: Hold You Down

Kareem Rush has some decent vocal chords. That is until you listen closely and realize that he's singing through autotune. What a cop out.

Kareem wants to hold his girls down. At first, you are worried that he's an aggressive lover. But then after the 4th listen (yeah right!) you figure out that he's talking about being a steady force in a young tender's life. He's obviously a much better lover than other guys, but isn't that the message in every R&B song sung by a dude?

A quick read of Kareem's Wikipedia page tell us just how accomplished of an R&B singer he is (control F "R&B").

Camby to Blazers for Crap+Cash

By now you all have heard that Marcus Camby was traded to Portland for Steve Blake, an injured Travis Outlaw, and $3 Million. Camby is an expiring contract at the end of this season and was the Clips' best interior defender. Doesn't this trade seem somewhat lopsided?

The Clips get a backup PG in Blake and a hurt dude in Outlaw. But most importantly, they get CASH. Donald Sterling strikes yet again for the almighty dollar sign. This $3 Million is apparently Dumbleavy's contract for next year. The Clip Show once again show their true colors: all about money, nothing about the quality of the product. Can't wait for Sportsguy to comment on this one. Well, actually I can wait.

Regardless of if my initial thoughts are correct or not, it is sad that Marcus didn't get to finish his dinner or say goodbye to his teammates. I feel bad for him.

DeAndre Jordan; Clippers Rookie Fatass

The 6'11" 250 lbs Clipper Rookie DeAndre Jordan has a bit of a problem with the team's strength and conditioning coach (props to TrueHoop):

"Rich Williams, our strength and conditioning coach, always gets so mad at me when he knows that I'm eating sweets. Let me tell you something about Rich. Okay look, I'm not the biggest guy in the world at all, but Rich seems to think that I'm going to be overweight when I finish playing basketball. If I'm drinking a Gatorade, he'll take the Gatorade out of my hands and give me water. If we get Krispy Kreme donuts in the morning, he'll take the donut out of my hand and give me a protein bar. Before games, I'll get a little thing of popcorn and hide so I can eat it in peace. Then he'll come out of nowhere, take the popcorn and give me a plate of fruit. He always tells me, "DeAndre, you're going to be 400 pounds when you're finished playing if you eat like this." No way! It's not in my DNA. I don't like Rich."

The Clippers are 8-20 so far this season with top tier players like Baron Davis, Chris Kaman, Marcus Camby and Zach Randolph. Al Thornton and Eric Gordon are promising young players. Though Mike Dunleavy Sr. is a pretty shitty coach and GM, this squad should be better than they are. Maybe, just maybe the Gatorade and Krispy Kreme donuts BEFORE practice could be the problem. Hummm.........
